It’s been awhile since my last post. Things have been going well here. The kid is actually going to attend kindergarten at a Waldorf school this year for three mornings a week; we have done preschool at Waldorf, and are very happy with the emphasis on creativity and socialization. He will have a new teacher this year, who is coming to visit tomorrow; I am a little hesitant because the house is such a mess after our recent return from a cross-country trip.
Outside of Waldorf, we are continuing our K12 subscription and have a few other online learning tools that we use. We are taking a very relaxed approach, as I really don’t see the need to have school activities directly interfere with play – the kid is 5. There’s no need for him to dread learning at such an early age!
